Make YMCA of the Rockies – Estes Park Center part of your Rocky Mountain holiday celebration! From the new “North Pole Train Experience,” and the drive-through Christmas Village to making gingerbread houses and ice skating on the frozen pond, there is plenty of fun for all ages to experience as we soak in the season! North Pole “Train” Experience
Fridays-Sundays: November 27-December 26th

Dress in your best holiday pajamas! Start the adventure at the Maude Jellison Library for a story-time reading of the famous children’s book, The Polar Express. Then, climb aboard the Christmas “train” as we travel to the North Pole. Join in for singing carols and view the Christmas lights around the YMCA as the “train” chugs along. After a 15-minute journey, disembark at the Dorsey Museum, where Santa awaits the passengers. Be greeted with hot cocoa and cookies, and Santa will share special time with each of the passengers. While at the museum, explore what life was like in the Rocky Mountains one-hundred years ago. Climb back aboard the Christmas “train” for a return trip back to the Library. This activity is free, but advanced registration is required. Train does not run on Dec. 10-12, Christmas day or Dec. 26.
Drive-Through Christmas Village
Offered Daily, between November 26-January 15
Take an evening tour of our decorated cabins from the warmth of your own car. The Flower Circle area of YMCA of the Rockies is adorned with hundreds of festive lights for a fun drive-through experience. Stop by the Rustic Café for some hot chocolate, put your favorite holiday music on the car radio, and enjoy the drive! See a map for additional directions.

Pick up a holiday cookie decorating kit from the Rustic Cafe and take it back to your cabin or lodge room for sugary fun. The cookie kit is $12 and includes 8 cookies, icining, sprinkles and plastic knives.
Santa’s Workshop & Gift Wrapping
Visit the elves at Santa’s workshop at the Mootz Family Craft and Design Center! They will help you make gifts for all members of your family including jewelry, ceramics, wood crafts, mosaics and more! Choose from a variety of fun holiday-themed ornaments that can be personalized to remember your holiday getaway or create a special gift ornament for a loved-one. Cost varies.
Bring in your presents to the gift wrap station! Santa's workshop provides the festive supplies for you to wrap your gifts. $5 per item, extra-large items required additional fee.
Gingerbread House Contest
Pick up a festive and unique gingerbread house kit from the Sweet Memorial Building for $15 to take back to your cabin or lodge room. Once your masterpiece is created, enter it into our Gingerbread House Village contest for the chance to win a $50 activity gift certificate!
Create your own winter wonderland and learn how to create an ornate paper snowflake with the help of one of our trained snowflake experts! Learn how to make this traditional holiday decoration at the Sweet Memorial Program Building.
Holiday Celebration at the Museum and Storytime Around the Campfire
Saturday, December 18, 10am - 11:30am
Enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas tradition of music, story time, carols, and hot chocolate and cookies at the Lula W. Dorsey Museum. Listen to Christmas music, warm up with hot chocolate and cookies, and head to the campfire behind the museum for holiday story time with the YMCA librarian at 10.30am. Return to the museum for carol singing at 11.00am in the museum's main lodge room.

If you are staying in lodging at YMCA of the Rockies, pre-arrange for Santa to personally deliver your presents to your door on Christmas Eve. This is a long-standing and guest favorite YMCA of the Rockies holiday tradition! Call x1104 for more information. Advanced reservations required.
Christmas Eve Dinner To-Go
Christmas Eve, December 24
Sit back, relax and enjoy Christmas eve with the family and let us do the cooking! Order a full Christmas eve dinner to-go freshly cooked at the YMCA kitchen and thoughtfully packed to take back to enjoy with your loved-ones. Meals are $80, which include servings for four persons. Orders must be placed by December 10th by calling 970-586-3341 x1083. Meals include servings for four persons featuring turkey and ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes & gravy, vegetable, dinner rolls with butter and cranberry sauce. Delectable desserts including pie and ice cream can be purchased as an add-on to the meal package.
Christmas Concert with The Flyin' A's - December 27
Join The Flyin' A's for a high energy, family friendly, fun filled holiday show on Monday, December 27 at 7pm in the Hempel Auditorium. They will perform a mix of original Texas Americana with a kick and holiday favorites for all to enjoy. If you like toe tapping holiday cheer, this is the show for you! The Flyin' A's are a duo from Austin, Texas that perform internationally, but like to call the YMCA of the Rockies their home away from home. Many of their songs have been written here on the Y grounds, inspired by the beauty that surrounds this special place. The concert is free, but reservations are required.

Enjoy additional activities through the holiday season including, guided hikes, nature programs, indoor climbing, s’mores around the campfire, roller skating and much more! When you are in the Town of Estes Park, take a drive through the self-led Yuletide Lights driving tour starting on Dec. 7.
